SATANIC SURFERS has already left quite a mark on the worldwide-scene, steadily increasing their position as some kind of a 90 s version of the HARD-ONS. Having established themselves as one of the leading european melodic punkbands worldwide yet being nowhere near mainstream popularity the band has recieved massive underground success and a cult-status comparable to the one of bands as say AGENT ORANGE or JFA.
As a band, brought up on a mix of old timers as said HARD-ONS, SNFU, MISFITS, DESCENDENTS and RKL the guys picked their hillarious name after wanting something that gave references to two of their biggest influences: MISFITS and HARD-ONS. Picking Satanic to give the name a touch of the horror of Glenn Danzig and his fiends, and Surfers to pay tribute to HARD-ONS old school surf-punk attitude, the Satanic Surfers definately succeded in their effort to create a memoreable name.
