      This Alabama native began her musical career at the early age of nine. After listening to a tape sent in by Alecia, Lorrie Morgan invited her to perform a concert duet. By the time she was 13, the young entertainer had already performed at a variety of music festivals and concert venues across America, including the White House Lawn. In 1998 Alecia signed a contract with MCA Nashville and began work on her first album.
     
      Alecia s debut album was recorded in Nashville at the Sound Emporium and completed in May 1999 under the guidance of Tony Brown and Jeff Teague.
